WANTED: Participants for Activities in This Year's Moyneyana Festival

Your participation will help make this years Moyneyana Festival a success. There are activities for all tastes with the majority of them FREE, and competitions offering valuable prizes which are donated by our generous sponsors year after year.

What a fabulous opportunity for families to share their festive spirit with friends and visitors alike and kick off Port Fairy's 59th Moyneyana Festival. Your participation will ensure the festival is a success and show your support to our sponsors. Just join in and have FUN!

Christmas Lights Competition: Once again the Port Fairy Rotary Club will be holding the Christmas Lights Competition for residents. Entry forms will be available from Brookes Home Hardware and Belfast Emporium. 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize winners.

Port Fairy Traders Best Dressed Window: Traders are asked to dress up their windows in the spirit of Christmas. Consider leaving your festive lights on so we can all admire your decorative efforts.

Best Dressed Family competition: Families are encouraged to dress up on Christmas Eve as prizes will be awarded for the best dressed.

Saturday, December 24, on Village Green from 4.30pm .

Jumping castle, Merry Go Round, Traders Free community BBQ from 5.30pm, the Amazing Sam Suitcase, free face painting with the Colour Angel, spinning wheels and music by Port Fairy Citizens Band. Santa will arrive at 7.30pm followed by presentations to the winners of the Rotary Christmas Lights, Traders Window Competition, Best Dressed Family and the Cricket Club Christmas Stocking Raffle draw.

NEW YEAR'S EVE

Backward Sprint Championships (the Retro Race) Finals – 7.30pm .

The challenge is out to both men and women to become finalists with heats for adults and races for children from 11am at Southcombe Park. Contact: Paul Bucci 03 5568 2487.

New Year's Eve Parade, the Moyneyana Festival committee encourages you to participate in this year's parade whether as a spectator or participant. If you're short of ideas for a float, keep in mind this year's theme “One Hundred Years of Surf Lifesaving” and grab a board, pull out the zinc, spray on a tan and even give your Speedo's a go. It's all worthwhile with $3000 worth of prizes up for grabs. To register, contact the Port Fairy Information Centre 5568 2682.
