60 years of the Moyneyana Festival in Port Fairy is a reason to CELEBRATE

The longest running festival in the state attracting 65,000 people and assisting community groups raise significant funds for their organisations can only continue with the support of sponsorship. In return, your businesses and supporters will continue to enjoy the growth that makes Port Fairy so successful.

Build on success! The 2006-2007 Festival was an outstanding event with thousands attending the main activities, and children's events being booked out. This success is largely due to the great support we receive from our sponsors, which allows us to offer most activities at little or no cost.

10,000 copies of a quality program are distributed throughout the area to promote the Festival. Highlights include

• Christmas Eve Family Activities on the Village Green: free barbeque provided by Port Fairy traders
• New Year's Eve Parade , street procession, outdoor concert with Claymore & the Ploughboys, and fireworks
• Retro Race Championships : Australia 's only Retro (backwards sprint) Race
• All the classic attractions: Duck Derby ; flotilla of Wooden and Classic boats ; Blessing of the Fleet ; Market Days …
• Musicfest : a free open air concert showcasing local and regional musicians
• Bushwahzee Kids Fun Day : a highly sought-after group who provide interactive musical fun and games
• Wild Action : free family entertainment and interaction with ‘wild' animals and reptiles
• Children's activities : heaps of variety over several days this year
• The Village Green comes alive with an Emergency Services Day plus Art on the Green
• Giant 60th Birthday Party on the Village Green on Australia Day: cake, games, fun for all!

Sponsorships enable the Festival to expand and provide a variety of entertainment for all ages during the five week holiday period. All sponsors are acknowledged in the widely distributed comprehensive program that is produced by the Port Fairy Moyneyana Festival Committee with some sponsorship packages providing prominent signage on the Village Green. Sponsorship sub committee members in the near future will once again be seeking sponsors in the form of Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze packages.

The Moyneyana Festival - a vital part of the Moyne Shire calendar - can only continue with the support of willing sponsors and those community groups who give freely of their time and equipment groups such as the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Port Fairy Traders and Tourist Associations, Surf, Rotary and the Lions Clubs.

Non- profit and community based groups will have free listing in the diary of this year's program. Businesses advertising events or services will be required to purchase a sponsorship package. Entries for this year's program can be submitted to the Visitor Information Centre, Bank Street ,

Port Fairy. The Moyneyana program highlighting exhibitions, open days, sporting activities and events is distributed widely throughout the region.

Sponsorship and events for this year's program are required to be finalized by the 15th of November. Your valued support as sponsors and participants is vital for the festival to continue making this our 60th one of the best ever.
