The Port Fairy Folk Festival Ticket Exchange

is run as a free service to assist those with unwanted tickets and those who want tickets to link up.

Well over 500 adult tickets changed hands, at face value, via the Ticket Exchange this year. In the meanwhile, a handful of hopeful profiteers experienced disappointing results attempting to sell tickets on ebay. The Ticket Exchange has redered scalpers superfluous.

As far as we are aware, the Ticket Exchange is the first of it's kind: the concept has since been adopted by other festivals in an effort to maintain the fair and friendly culture that reflects the Port Fairy Folk Festival and other similar events..

This is also where difficult to find accommodation is listed as it becomes available. It is pleasing to note that most accommodation places give preference to 'festival ticket holders'.

The Port Fairy Folk Festival Ticket Exchange will be open again when Tickets for the 2009 festival have been sold during this coming November.
