About the Artist Brian Dunlop was born in Sydney, Australia and studied at the National Art School, Sydney. During his career, Brian has travelled and painted in Rome, Skyros, Majorca, Morocco, London, Turkey and Tuscany. He has taught at East Sydney Technical College, Alexander Madrie College, Sydney, the University of New South Wales and held the post of Artist in Residence at the University of Melbourne. Brian's work is included in collections throughout Australia and his commissions include Australia Post for two sets of postage stamps, the Sydney Stock Exchange and over 90 portrait commissions including a Governor General, three Chief Justices, three Archbishops and the Victorian sesquicentenary portrait of the Queen.

1984 Brian has lived, predominently, in the Port Fairy region and many
of his more recent paintings reflect the influence of the natural surrounds.
